The ubiquity of these stations in public places and private spaces is nothing shy of remarkable for our planet. I can’t promise I won’t still buy two SmartWaters for a cross country flight, or a $10 essentia at the gym—or splurge on a can of OpenWater at the bagel shop, or a carton of Boxed Water at yoga—or Just Water at the bodega, or a stout Fiji at the gas station, or —sry, what was I saying?

I love these. An average plastic water bottle contains something like 200,000 pieces of microplastics so these are not only good for the planet but your help as well. Adding this to my plastic-free living collection right now.

“The average plastic bottle has something like 200,000 pieces of microblastics so bringing your own steel bottle and filling at one of these stations is the way to go.”
