I Love My Shibumi Shade

Recommended by JV

This is hands down the best beach shade set up I’ve ever encountered. While it says online that it fits eight adults, we’ve been using it for two adult beach chairs and a blanket. The Shibumi shade is so compact for traveling to the beach, and lightweight. Best of all, I can set it up by myself in 4 minutes (the website says three minutes). AMA about my Shibumi.

Wait whoa.. does it ever not work??

If there is *zero* breeze, the shade isn’t as robust but we used it anyway last week in those conditions. But if that’s not ideal, they have a $30 accessory called “Wind Assist” that attaches to the corners (“anchoring each side with sandbags to create a tent-like shape”)!

Would that I could photo reply but we are set up at the bay in Cape Cod and it’s PERFECT.

The first time I saw this I was FLABBERGASTED. Incredible idea that I could not believe no one ever considered. I don’t live somewhere where I need it but it makes me so happy that you love using it!

Ahaha I wish it for you only if you want it! —the visual is quite bright, it’s like waving a flag on your personal piece of the beach
