Touch of Evil (1958)

I am an absolute SUCKER for film noir and this is a pretty entertaining addition to the genre.

Charlton Heston plays a Mexican prosecutor caught up in the double homicide from a car bomb, an explosion he witnesses with his new American wife (a very bold and assertive pre-Psycho Janet Leigh). Orson Welles plays a grimy, racist (dare I say, almost grotesque?)police captain investigating the murders.

Orson Welles stars and directs this edgy little number with his renowned precision. There's also some fun appearances by a few big names as well as music composed by legend Henry Mancini.
