Does anyone have any scary (horror/thriller) book recommendations? I’m in a fall mood right now. I don’t want anything traumatizing 🤣.

Bury Your Gays by Chuck Tingle: Blazed through this, couldn’t put it down, the tension starts ratcheting early and never lets up. A perfectly crafted horror-thriller about queer representation in media? Yes please. I’m not going to say more because you should go into it blind. Do. Not. Miss!

White Tears by Hari Kunzru: if you liked "Yellowface" and/or the movie Sinners, this could be for you – combination ghost story and social satire about race, exploitation, and the music industry in the US ... more creepy or ominous than properly scary

The Likeness by Tana French: I rarely read this genre but checked this out from the library per an old Molly Young rec and really enjoyed it. Heavy on the vibes and not too scary, with shades of The Secret History. My other suggestion would be The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis and just skip right over the more gory descriptions :)
