Mardi Gras Made in China PBS Doc
Recommended by JaperMoon
I think about this on the reg.
The director went to China to meet the people making mardi gras beads and showed footage of mardi gras to the factory workers, and their responses we’re basically “LOL wut america is CRAZY!”. And theyre right :)

Ahhh me too. Watched in a women and genders studies class in college. So many years ago now! It’s responsible for my aversion to single use plastics and any kind of fidgety trash thing as an incentive for kids (I’m a school counselor)

I also saw it in college, but it was a History of Magic class, I think the teacher just thought it was important :)
