Unbreakable French press! I’ve broken 2 in the last year and who knows how many in the past. Last time I got one with the metal cage around it and I still shattered the glass to a million pieces. I haven’t gone for the purely metal ones because I like seeing the contents but maybe it’s time.

Bodum Brazil: I test coffee makers for my job and Bodum makes excellent, affordable French presses. The Brazil is made of borosilicate glass, which can usually survive falls better than regular glass (though it’s still breakable). If you haven’t tried it, it’s worth a shot - the frame of this coffee maker is plastic, so that may help too. If you’re absolutely anti-glass, the Yeti French press is great. You can literally throw it across a room, and it’ll be fine.
