Monarch budgeting app
I'm gonna sound like I'm getting paid to say this but I swear I'm just a girl clawing my way out of generational poverty: Monarch changed my life. It helped me get myself out of over $10K in debt in one year and start building real, actual savings (and wealth??) for the first time in my life. I got my grandma on Monarch and helped her delete literally THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS in recurring MONTHLY charges she DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT (OLD PEOPLE ARE GETTING SCAMMED, BUT THAT'S ANOTHER TOPIC).
It also helped me convince my dad to open a high yield savings account and start contributing to his IRA (he's 63 and has no retirement...). I'm getting Monarch subscriptions for everyone in my family for Christmas. I will be the one to lift us out of perpetual debt if it's the only thing I do with my life. I open Monarch 10 times a day. I can not live without it. This! I am happy to pay my Monarch annual subscription fee. It's helped us so much to see what we are *really* spending, can't hide from that cash flow chart!
very addicting! i used to completely avoid looking at my money, which led to me developing the worst of my habits. now i'm on the complete other end of the spectrum which... probably has some downsides, but at least i'm not spending money i don't have anymore lol.
