“A brilliant and challenging novel that reflects upon language, genius, art, and fathers. Apparently this book fell out of print for a while due to some conflict w the publisher, which only adds to its mystique. You get the sense that De Witt was uncompromising - as evidenced by lengthy sections in ancient greek - but it’s worth it in the end. Plot is kind of like if Mamma Mia were dead serious. Oh”

“The only word to describe this book is engrossing. I've never read a book like this.”
