Tic Tic Boom (the original soundtrack)
Recommended by Haus of kolor
Ok I just realized they are making a Netflix musical Off of the broadway one.
I’ve only heard the old school One, so I cannot vouch for the new one.
I don’t wanna brag (yes, I do) but the way I can sing word to this song is a real wonder.

i have never heard of this (should i be embarrassed?) - is it a musical?
@hausofkolor
lol! I honestly have no idea how I know about it. That’s not true I know exactly who shared this gem with me- it was my camp counselor bestie circa 2002(?!!). Its is a musical and apparently it’s now on Netflix so consider yourself ahead of the times.

oh nooo i wanted soundtracks that were NOT from musicals however since you're lovely and have got me intrigued i'm going to let you get away with it!!! i love me a good back story hehe thank you x

Omg of course my brain read - “from a musical” and I was like fuck me I have the perfect one. Nope- not the assignment. I appreciate the pass. However, I cannot promise I will not do this again
@dylaryduff
bahahaha i knew that was exactly what you did because I do the same thing all the time... 🙃

The movie came out a couple years ago - it’s actuslly really, really good, and made me cry, though it’s a bit of a twist on the original (kind of has to be, it’s a hard format to adapt) - it digs deeper into Jonathan Larson’s life and has a little bit of an homage to him at the end. Andrew Garfield does a phenomenal job (always does) and sings all his own parts. Raul Esparza, he is not, but I sing along with the movie soundtrack on the regular.
