I first listened to this album as a teen at sleepaway camp. A couple of decades (and a lot of context + relevant life experiences) later, it’s still one of my favorites to crank up and belt out. Driving solo with the windows down, conducting a giant house clean/purge, celebrating your independence from a breakup/divorce/toxic job/etc., generally feeling like a badass, the list goes on!
Start to finish, in order, it’s perfection. And, if you really want to do a deep dive, listen to Exile on Main Street right before or after; this is a song-for-song response/re-imagination 😏
