Possum merino cap

New Zealand has an invasive possum situation, and now subsidizes small business that try to do something about it. The possums' loss is our gain, because these are the warmest, coziest and most durable winter caps I've ever worn. It's a blend of merino wool and possum fiber (fur? wool? do not ask how the sausage is made) and feels like the very best old cashmere.

Importing could be tricky. I happen to like the ones that Rivendell Bikes stocks (stateside), and it's a great place so that's where I get mine. Lots of other good options and styles elsewhere too. Just check that it's a New Zealand company because American possums are danga-dee cute and deserve to live.
