counter dump bowl

im sure you know this already, but if you dont…let me introduce you to a bowl on your countertop to use as garbage can while you cook. Major mess reducer. Onion peels, weird raw meat scraps, the little stickers they put on fruit..you name it. Cant believe how many years i spent not doing this. I wanna get a restaurant kitchen style square dump bin just cuz I love buying things for my kitchen.

Killer rec, I too can’t believe all the years I spent making a million little trips to the garbage can while cooking. It’s kinda shocking how much friction it reduces, and kinda shocking it didn’t occur to me sometime in my first 50-something years

The first version of this in my life was my grandma's, who lived in an old house with no garbage disposal. She kept an empty milk carton in the sink for this purpose, filled it with apple cores, eggshells, orange peels, whatever we would now call "compost" and incinerated it on Thursdays (back when you could do _that_).
