Only buy 5 new clothing items a year

Rule of 5: the Hot or Cool institute calculated that buying only 5 new garments a year would align with the Paris Agreement on climate change.

Fashion is wasteful and there is way too much clothing in the world! This is the first year I’ve done this and it has been challenging, fun, satisfying and doable! I’ve thought so carefully about the 5 new items and really appreciate them, and anything else I’ve wanted/needed I’ve gotten second hand on Poshmark no problem. Buying consignment online is so easy these days!
