"show reader" feature

highly recommend using the reader feature on safari/chrome when looking at an article online. it clears up all the advertisement and noise on the page and just shows you the text
safari: button on the left side of the URL field, show reader
chrome: three buttons on right of header, more tools, reading mode

You can even set it to switch to reader mode automatically to get rid of paywalls... just saying!
