The best illustrated book of Greek myths! I read it cover to cover so many times as a kid. The illustrations are stunning. If I had a child it’s the first thing I would buy, which definitely isn’t good in terms of priorities and probably a sign that I shouldn’t…but anyway. Just glancing at the pages is transportive.

I’ll ask my mom what else we had! Have they seen Disney’s Hercules? Made me kind of mad as a little kid bc it really changes the myths (& I was that kind of kid lol) but it’s pretty phenomenal. Also was wayyyy into the Percy Jackson books when I was little, and my little cousin was too (read the first one when I was 11)

As I kid I loved the Myth-o-Mania series by Kate McMullan. They're goofy retellings in which Hades is secretly the hero in every story and I remember devouring them in elementary school

Full endorse!! Candlewick Press also has a phenomenal set with illustrated versions of The Odyssey and The Iliad. My 8.5 mythology obsessed kid goes deep.
