Daguerréotypes (Agnès Varda)

Started watching this early Sunday morning and I am all chips in on this film. Agnès Varda captures the life of the shopkeeps in her neighborhood of Rue Daguerre in the 14th Arrondissement following the birth of her son in the 70s. Every scene is framed with a photographer’s eye and it seems like Agnès surely was an inspiration for Wes Anderson. Her sensitivity to color and appreciation for typography make such an impact. Also it made me want to book a trip to Paris tout de suite. It also made me sad that the darling Blue Thistle perfumery/antique store(??) doesn't exist anymore.
