Gap Playlists
As a former Gap mall employee (2002-2004) for my summer and holiday breaks, I loved their playlists. I also adored working there. Best retail corporate job- everyone was so NICE. I would work overnights with pleasure because my co-workers were such delights. I remember we had cards that had the ideal tenants of the company- “Friendly, Helpful, Knowledgeable, and Quick”. Boy was I only one of those qualities but I meant well 😂

Yes! I’m sure it’s not just GAP but there would be overnight shifts that usually coordinated with the launch of new collections and you could sign up to work from like… 9 pm to 5 am… and help turnover the store!

SAME! I worked there 1997-2000 and heard so many gems. I still remember some, like this incredible Dancing on Vaseline remix by David Byrne and Thievery Corp. It was my dream job to be create their playlists, I even wrote my thesis in college on background music because of it. XX
