Thrift books - a great option to 👎🏼 Amazon & less waste

Recommended by Geren

Here's how I engage books, avoiding Amazon at all costs.

1. Libby - even for cookbooks I try to borrow first, and definitely for fiction & non-fiction.
2. Thriftbooks - a great way to get books but not add to the paper piles on the planet.
3. Bookshop.org - a FANTASTIC option for [🚫 Amazon 🤮] both physical and digital books and for gifts - their business model is the future & the ammount of $$ returned to local bookstores is SO impressive.

“I love thriftbooks. If I can’t find a book locally, or it has ceased publication, I can usually find a cheap copy here. This was especially helpful during thesis research when I bought the OG American girl body book and girl culture by Lauren greenfield. (I love the public library but sometimes I want to mark up books or keep them for reference)”
