I walked away over two years ago from every Amazon brand - One Medical, Audible, Whole Foods (I have been in the doors a couple of times when it's the only option traveling), Ring, all of it. I can't avoid AWS if someone else uses it but other than that. HARD NO.

I'm building CANAVA as a media platform to be a field guide for the future specifically to help people avoid things like Amazon.

There is ALWAYS a better option, people doing the "good hard work" that we should support instead. DM me if you need anything answered. Happy to dive in and share.

YES! I wish @recleague would disable the option to use Amazon links.

Love this. The only Amazon thing I still do is Whole Foods but I'm trying to wean myself off that too. Look, is my life a little less automated and convenient? Of course. But it's also filled with diversity and enjoyment that I wouldn't get otherwise!

It’s so interesting I was Hudson Valley when I pulled the plug so Thrive (I am a decade into that game) and farms made a big difference and no WF anywhere near. Went into one in Westchester six months ago and it was crazy only child care helpers and instacart shoppers and the shelves looked like the inside of an Amazon warehouse- it was surreal. Life is prettier and oddly cheaper without it. 💃🏻💃🏻🔥🔥

Being Amazon-free is the holier than thou choice I bring up at every opportunity. It can be done! I am so proud of my family for doing it! I completed my commitment with my switch from Kindle/Goodreads to Kobo/Storygraph, and it rules! Life is better! There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism, but dammit some consumption is just more ethical than others.
