Hear me out - I don't use this for everything - but I do use it anytime it makes sense. Baking 100% easier with a scale, sauces, and dressings and following recipes - all easier developing recipes it's nonnegotiable.
I am a big decades long Escali fan - US brand that's stayed close to it's origins and THEY WORK - I had one for over a decade - used it a ton, moved and was convinced I'd worn it out after replacing the battery so I got a new one - some of the best $30 spends in my lifetime - except I hadn't killed the first one - I just had a dead battery in my battery kit because they last so long in the scale. 🤦🏻♀️
This is also one of about ten tools I brought on my recent 4 months of road trips and residences and I used it every time I cooked.

I love it when something works and lasts. I used mine today five times and I'm not even cooking.

“This rec is coming to you live as I re-bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies after miscalculating the number of cups of flour I needed”

Shannon B
“You must have a kitchen scale. It is the vastly superior way to bake. I recently figured out that if you put an ingredient on the scale and tare, you can measure what you’re taking away! Works great for things like peanut butter. And fewer dishes!”

JDJ
“So much easier”
