The fact that you can just go see these in the Bronx at Met Cloisters is astounding

It's so incredible!!! I make a pilgrimage every so often because they are worth it.

The one time I have been some tapestries were being repaired/restored and it was absolutely fascinating to read about that work. For me, that as much as anything else made the wonder of their creation and preservation so vivid.

I was so mesmerized by “The Unicorn Rests in a Garden” on a class field trip to The Cloisters that I got lost and almost missed the bus back to school. Embarrassing but worth it.

The movie death of a unicorn really gives you a new idea of this tapestry. It was wild.

I bought Cloisters-published book for my daughter. She, like me, believes that unicorns were real and hunted to extinction.

“We all know her - she’s been used as a backdrop for tv shows and substack articles and ren faires - but the added lore and debated symbolism keep me so fascinated by this series (and the passing of ownership!)”
