A starter library about gardens and plants

My colleague @Mildew (aka Ellen) and I raided our bookshelves to compile this list of recommendations, which includes a bevy of books and magazines about lost roses, gardens against time, hedges, alluring lettuces, wildflower poems, delphinium obsession, found floral snapshots, a garden oracle, and so much more.

I loved A Garden Against Time. Found it in a bookstore in Paris by chance.

It's worth Googling images of OL's garden ... intensely magical.

If I ever start recommending myself I’ll write these up but I adore Page Dickey’s writing about her gardens. “Duck Hill Journal” and “The Embroidered Garden” are classics but I really love “Uprooted,” about moving on from her garden of 30+ years and starting over.
