i've had the same el nino concern! i currently have this rain coat that i bought in oregon when it started raining. it has served me well in LA rain over the past couple of years.

also, I survived the super el nino of 97-98 with a roxy snowboarding jacket, so i've been looking at those for nostalgia's sake.
