The perfect backpack doesn't exist??? I need to work out of the house more often, but carrying my 15-inch laptop in any kind of shoulder or crossbody bag is a no-go for my back. Would love something slim and classic without too many bells and whistles. Don't wanna look like I work on Wall Street or like I'm about to climb a mountain. Do wanna look cute and carefree, and like I'm ready to write the @#$* out of a newsletter. Also: Needs to fit a small water bottle, phone, wallet, and requisite sweet treat! Help!

Mina Baie Stevie Backpack!: Ok fair warning they are expensive but I've never gotten more compliments than I have on my Mina Baie bag. I bought it second hand - technically it's a diaper bag but it's the BEST work backpack I've ever used.

Can be worn like a backpack but also converts to be carried on one shoulder like a tote. The "midi" (the smallest size) can fit a 13 inch laptop as well as some food, a 16-24 oz water bottle in one of the side pockets, a mouse, wallet, phone, charger...everything you'd need for a day in the office.

I think the "full" would be better if you carry a large lunch or have a 15 inch laptop.

Plus since it's a diaper bag it's got tons of great organization and it's easy as hell to clean!  It's not big enough for a full change of clothes or anything but especially if you're looking for something that won't be way too big I think it could be a great fit.

Away backpacks!: Veering a little on the Wall St-y side but I have this bag and it’s so super functional and durable. I've had it for a few years and used it daily for work and it looks brand new. They now make lots of other bags which I can’t vouch for but some are a bit more playful and cute.
