One of my all time favorites, a true desert island record that I could listen to every single day and never ever tire of.
I feel like a lot of people liked Pressure to Party and then dropped off? But this is Julia at her finest so far imo (I cannot wait for Gem to come out) - her voice is strong, a little silky, a little rough around the edges of emotion, but she hits the high notes with breathtaking clarity. Hard not to sing along off key to some of these epics like Love (Try Not To Let Go).
Put it on, look out the window, maybe it’s drizzling at first but by the time the record ends you’ll be ready to go outside to watch the sky turn colors.
I have on vinyl and not to snob about it but I DO think it makes a difference.
