I think I sold a friend on it by saying it was a "modern-day-girl-centered-queer-vibey-Canadian-Dawson's Creek." It's the show we wished we had. My only complaint, is they say they are in their teens but they all live the lives of unemployed 25-year-olds who are stuck parenting the actual adults who are absurdly emotionally immature.

“I am boots on the ground for this show. sending texts off to friends and my sisters. call all the girls, gays and boyfriends of bisexual women. I’ve been waiting to rec on here until I’ve finished the series but I’m drawing it out for as long as possible because it’s been a fucking MINUTE since I’ve enjoyed a tv show like this, so I’m trying to take it slow and not binge it all at once. but here I”

“Bad on Paper recommended this show and it is not disappointing. Soapy teen dramas have not been my bag since Dawson’s Creek but this one takes place on a lake in Canada, has great ‘fits and interiors, and a nice balance of humor and cliff hangers. It’s just also a cozy show with multiple Laufey songs and the first show I’ve wanted to binge since Widow’s Bay!”

“I thought this would be a cheesy attempt to recreate TSITP magic, but I was honestly really pleasantly surprised by the charm and story of this show. Not a cringe summer on the lake trope like I feared it’d be. There are deep family dynamics, first loves, disarming friendships. Kudos on casting.”
