I loved this book! I'm reading Lady Tremaine right now which is the same kind of Post Modernist exploration of the villain maybe not actually being the villain. It is about the stepmother in Cinderella and it is sooooo much better than I expected it to be!

ugh, love a villanous rereading! ty! also adding to my library hold list now :)

oh and, i forgot to add-- i was looking at the etymology of villan today and its pretty fascinating bc its very class-based and pastoral bc the feudal system: https://www.etymonline.com/word/villain. ok that's way more than you asked for but i thought about it a lot today so it was nice synchronicity

I read Stone Blind by this author! I truly felt the emotions of Medusa. I’ll have to check this one out!
D
@drosen7877
Looks like Stone blind is a different author (Natalie Haynes)? But curiosity peaked nonetheless!

There’s a German song that translates as ‘the dignity of the pig is untouchable’ by Reinhard Mey about factory farming which I think is pretty beautiful. Translated lyrics here: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/die-würde-des-sc...
