The videogame tie in movie has truly evolved. Zach Cregger has crafted a gem of true delight, expertly playing with audience expectations, masterfully moving attention across the screen like a laser pointer in front of a bored cat. A feast to look at, a joy to experience. Funny, weird, bleak, and dumb as hell. I walked out feeling like I'd just played an entire RE game from prologue to credits.
