I have some solid old tshirts that I won’t fit into again but they have family significance. I’d love to somehow make them into something for my toddlers. Does anybody have a pattern or idea of what I can make?

Might be a little floppy with jersey but all the better! Use like-colored tees so it’s not garish.

Make a T-Shirt Quilt
•••
Turn meaningful t-shirts into a quilt! I recently did this with the help of a talented quilter I found on Etsy, and I gave the blanket to my husband and kids for Valentine's Day. I had saved favorite shirts kids had outgrown, shirts from trips, shirts from schools, sports teams and events, and even a baby blanket. The quilt turned out better than I had imagined, and now it lives on the couch in our den. It's fun to have a cozy blanket that reminds us of so many different memories. (Pro tip: If you look for a quilter on Etsy, look for quilts with stitching across the whole shirt, not just around each square. It keeps the stretchy t-shirt fabric from getting baggy.)

T-shirt quilts

Everyone in my family has a quilt made of old t-shirts that have special meanings attached to them. Rather than just keeping a stack of old or small shirts, you can upcycle them into something you will still use. For example: shirts from high school/college clubs, sorority/fraternity parties, or shirt souvenirs from trips.
