My favorite used book store is Pelican Bay in Anacortes, WA. There is a coffee shop inside with the best scones. Such a vibe!

Those of you who've done this repeatedly, I'm curious of more details on what works: do you skim the shelves together, do you seek individually and then come together to share your findings, or do you go in with no expectations whatsoever and see what dynamics emerge?
The dynamics that emerge say a lot, too. I gotta say that my preference on a date is to browse together and give each other a tour of your minds through books. Later, when you know each other, there is plenty of time to browse independently.
Fwiw, this is my opinion about museum dates as well.
