Also worth a look: Mole (mole.fit).
It's a native Mac utility that rolls together the jobs you'd otherwise need four separate apps for
— clearing caches with a review step before anything goes
- uninstalling apps properly instead of leaving debris scattered around
- a treemap of what's actually eating your disk
- live CPU, memory and battery readings in the menu bar
Nineteen dollars once, covers two Macs, no subscription — which after a decade of everything on the Mac quietly turning into a monthly fee feels almost quaint.
It started life as a command-line tool and that version is still free and open source if you'd rather not pay at all.
