Who Will Run the Frog Hospital? by Lorrie Moore

Unfair that someone so good at short stories Has also mastered the novel. Perfectly captures how teen girls become obsessed with one another and the shittiness of trying to carry it into adulthood… queer and heart wrenching without veering into romance or competition… no one gets the gravity of girlhood like Lorrie. I bought this while crying and wandering around Manhattan because my life is perfect and still somehow not at all what I thought it would be so take that into account.
