You know that joke about Millennials needing to do some things on a Big Screen (computer) instead of Small Screen (phone)?
Try doing everything on a big screen. I've removed basically every app I can from my phone, down to the bare essentials of what I need if I'm out of the house. Everything else gets done on a computer.
It's way harder to doomscroll, I'm less likely to make an impulse purchase, I won't look at social media for hours and hours without realizing if none of that stuff is on my phone.
I can text from my phone, listen to music/podcasts/audiobooks on my phone. I can do all the basic day-to-day necessity stuff on my phone, but if I want to buy something or use social media or even just do a little window shopping it's all on the Big Screen. You'll find yourself looking at your phone less and less if there's nothing entertaining on it. More time to read a book or birdwatch or learn the names of all your neighbors' dogs!
