A typical Sunday morning is me laying in bed, scrolling through the estate sales within a 50 mile radius from me and mapping out my day until 2 PMish, where I haul ass back home with my spoils. My most prized find is between a vintage Ebony Magazine with MLK and Coretta Scott King on the cover (FOR $1!!!!) or the entire set of stainless steel cookware that I got from a home baker for $30. Maybe the Pottery Barn table I got for $9. You are in competition with resellers, but it makes it even better when you “win”.

“A wonderful weekend pastime, it has long been a family hobby. A real treasure when you find one of an artist or a collector or an author and get a peak into their interesting life. Most things I own are from estate sales. Here are a few tips: 1) Search for zip codes in the older more established neighborhoods of your city. You’ll often find more antiques that way. 2) The sale organizers usually do”
