Get yourself an elderly pen pal
Recommended by Catherine Davis
I asked my husband’s 88 year old aunt to be my pen pal and it has been a wonderful experience. Mostly I hear about things like whether or not her cactus has bloomed but she also dispenses advice from time to time. (The key to a long marriage? -Good girlfriends) and it makes me happy when I see a letter from her in my mailbox. Plus I think old people are better letter writers because they’ve had more practice.

I have been inspired to do this ever since reading The Correspondent. Highly recommend this book

I read it! I wasn’t sure at first and almost gave up but I’m glad I stuck with it. It was a satisfying read in the end.

I felt the same way! I completely agree about the ending, it wrapped up so nicely. Now I gotta find a pen pal!!

I almost gave up too! Now I did give up on Theo of Golden…
@beccamandy
I felt similarly about Theo of Golden but I listened on audio and the narrator had a lovely soothing voice that kept me going
