Florence is known for its leather, which of course means it’s now saturated with tourist trap leather shops. For genuine Florentine leather products, you can’t do much better than the leather school, where the next generation of artisans makes everything onsite.

Their products cost what fine leather goods should, i.e. not cheap, but the quality is unmatched and they’ll emboss them with your initials. I got one of their horsebit wallets which I’m pretty sure will outlive me.
