the native plant garden at NYBG in late summer/early autumn

right up there with the emergence of the spring ephemerals for me, the native plant garden here is an absolute wonder. goldenrods & asters, endless meadowy vistas, lush beyond belief. buzzing with insect and bird life. so magical.
