Fancy condiments!

What I’ve learned after two years at a dinner party shop is this: DADS LOVE CONDIMENTS! Even if he isn’t the biggest cook, a small something that can upgrade his lunch can make a bigger impact than you’d think. I have a few recs:

1. Rosi’s Hot Oil. A slightly-spicy serrano oil that brings a smooth kick to pizza, clams, and eggs.

2. A nice tin of fish. To punch up tuna salads, eat over crackers, or pile on top of a bagel. For the latter, this tin of Smoked King Salmon is my go-to!

3. Probably the most-bought item by dads themselves? Bar nuts. I have a trio of gents who regularly come in for these from Eleven Madison. If you’re worried the nori flavor might scare him off, try our house everything blend instead.

4. My dad hasn’t stopped talking to me about this mustard. I gave it to him on Father’s Day, and he still asks me to send him a tube (or two) every few months to keep up his supply. It’s currently sold out but I have insider info that it’s coming back this week 👀
