As someone who’s passionate about potatoes, I’m really excited to hear what people say to this one. What’s yours?? Mine is prob cubed and roasted/pan fried.
For me it’s a seasonal preference. Fall = scalloped potatoes, Winter = mashed potato, Spring= hash brown, Summer= French Fry. NOW- if I HAD to pick one… it’s mashed. Honorable mention for potato chips.
My grandpa had potatoes with every meal, no matter the meal. Boiled, mashed, fried, baked, potato saladed, potato pancaked…my gram made them for him Every. Single. Meal.
Pan roasted but in a specific way- get fingerling sized ones and cut them in half, placing the flat sliced size down on the pan. Roast at 400 for 30 ish mins depending how crispy you want them and season with whatever. The size of the potato and the halves all facing down is what makes this perf every time.
