Malatesta Trattoria
This is my favorite Normal restaurant in nyc. It’s not spectacular, they aren’t reinventing the wheel, and there is no flash or gimmick. It’s just solid italian food. The food and wine are well priced. It’s always buzzy and lively but never overwhelmingly so. I’ve gone on romantic dates and brought my parents and caught up with friends here. A real nyc gem.

“The coziest corner in all of NYC! We’re flocking to this impossibly charming Italian joint after work for the immaculate ambiance (I mean, just look at this place), fresh pastas (order the gnocchi, please!), house red, and ease of service. You can always get a table here. It feels like a gem, the old guard of New York, and the kind of place you want to keep secret - but we won’t.”
