The Mitford Sisters are endlessly fascinating to me and this book is a great jumping off point. Although they are mid 20th century English aristocrats, there is something for everyone! All types are represented - an author, a communist, a duchess,a dachshund loving lesbian, an icily beautiful fascist and of course one of Hitler’s girlfriends. The family touches so many aspects of history and culture and is increasingly relevant to our times.
