Adding to the list of reasons “why I choose to live in the city instead of the suburbs”

Italians have a word for this: “Passeggiata” - an evening stroll to relax, say hi to neighbors, and digest before sleep. I imagine it’s another of the many reasons people in Italy have a longer life expectancy.

This brings back so many childhood memories. As a kid in Germany, we did this nearly every summer day. It’s such a simple and special family activity.
