Mast General Store

Mast General Store in Valle Crucis NC is truly a treasure from back in time. An old general store, perfectly preserved seemingly in the middle of nowhere and since 1883. An old post office inside, creaky wooden floors, a potbelly cast iron stove and a cooler of bottled sodas. Right down the way is also the Mast Annex, which we call the Barrel Candy Store, fill your basket with old penny candy (candy necklaces our personal favorite choice as kids).
