what do social media followings or magazine profiles or parents have to do with what i am looking at/reading/generally engaging with right now? Your neighbor is working on a screenplay? OFFER TO READ IT! Your sister-in-law's sibling does photography? GO TO THE SHOW! Idk, it just seems so cool and exciting to get in on the ground floor with undiscovered talent it shocks me fewer people do it, especially in an earnest and open way.
