Dawn Original Dishwashing Soap

Am I the last person to learn that Dawn dish soap is the only thing that will get grease out of clothing? I recently spattered a favorite shirt with dozens of olive oil droplets. I rubbed the dish soap into the spots, ran it in a cold water wash, and everything came out!

It was a major a-ha for me as well -- my sister clued me in!
Little known fact: Dawn also makes a commercial grade (spray) product called Power Dissolver. Distinctly different from the foam Power Wash, and in my estimation, the best of them all. Been using it on greasy laundry stains for nearly two decades. Only downside is you have to buy in bulk, six bottles at a time, and must remember to recycle the spray top as they only give you two sprayers for six bottles. Aside from these. minor annoyances, it's my desert island laundry product. You'll thank me later.

I also never thought of this. Thanks for the tip. When looking it up I found that you can get single bottles at many places (e.g. Lowe’s, restaurant supply stores, etc.).
Oh, good to know, Mary! Lisa: over the 20 years I've used it, I've only had it permanently lighten an area on a single pair of pants, in all likelihood because I left it on too long, like...hours. I typically let it sit for anywhere from a minute to five mins, depending on the severity of the stain, fwiw. Never had an issue outside of that one isolated incident.

Also some dawn and water, a sponge and a squeegee are great for cleaning windows.
Always great - I travel with a mini size one for treating stains while on the go. Also equal parts Dawn and vinegar are terrific for clearing soap scum off shower glass!
It's also great for getting blood stains out of clothes.
Is it me or has the scent changed recently? I have been a loyal dawn user for years but lately the smell gives me the ick.
