Heading to Charleston and Isle of Palms, SC in a few weeks. Where should we eat and what should we see and do?

Bowen’s Island: I don’t even eat seafood, but this place has possibly the best view in Charleston! As a non fish liker I have been known to go for just a beer or a drink and a slice of key lime pie. There is also an outdoor place in this parking lot that does kayak tours, dolphin tours and more. I went on a dolphin tour last year and saw SO MANY dolphins. This is also right by Folly Beach which is a great place for a beach walk or beach sit.

Edmund’s Oast: This place has good food, but I especially recommend their vibes and their drinks. They make their own beer, which is great AND they have very good frozen cocktails.

Lewis Barbeque: This place is great! I highly recommend the corn pudding and the hot guts sausage. Obviously the brisket is stellar too.

Simmons Seafood: I love to cook a lot when I’m in Charleston because the fish and produce are so good. Check out the mount pleasant farmers market on Tuesdays which is absolutely amazing and you can get great quality seafood from Simmons on IOP which also has fantastic freezer cases full of delights like crab cakes and key lime pie.
