Carrying cash
Recommended by Zoe Det
I genuinely cannot recommend it enough. You can give it to people freely, it streamlines street vendor, farmers market, or parking attendant interactions, and the taco truck might give you a discount. Overall improves daily interactions and “widening the opportunity for luck to hit you” in the city. Plus spending it or giving it away feels free! AND sometimes you can say “keep the change,” which feels very cool.
I am personally partial to the $10 bill.

I owe my affinity to the $10 bill to working at Starbucks in high school and always running out of them because people buy a $5 drink with a $20, so whenever I have them, I’m so excited to rebalance someone’s drawer. So satisfying.

This x 100000. Plus you’re always the hero in the group when somebody’s like, “who has cash?”
