I have been burned by many meal subscriptions in the past, and I feel like in this age of influencers it's hard to take recommendations for them seriously. Out of desperation, I decided to try CookUnity (I'm a mom with health issues working full time, and cooking is just not an option for me right now). I have been blown away by the quality of CookUnity meals. They have a huge menu, and I think of the hundreds of meals I have received from them, I only had one with freshness issues (and they gave me a credit without hesitation). I love that they highlight BIPOC chefs. I'm also a Food Network nerd, and it's very fun to look at the menu and say, "Oh this meal was designed by Esther Choi/Aarthi Sampath/Jose Garces etc." I will say that I am fortunate enough to live in the same area as one of their commercial kitchens, and maybe that is a part of why these meals are so incredible (the kitchen locations are New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, Seattle, Atlanta, Miami, and Toronto). It's worth researching if it makes a difference if you don't live near one of these locations. If you need a referral link, don't hesitate to comment here, but the point of this was not for me to rack up referral credits!

“I need the convenience of a meal prep / delivery program. I work full time, with weird hours, and have a toddler. But I was bored as hell with Factor, and couldn’t get my shit together to cook from a box like Blue Apron. Cook Unity has delicious options, flexible to your dietary concerns and preferences. I also appreciate that they are made regionally by “local cooks”. Delivered in a reusable bag”

“I am incapable of meal-prepping healthy workday lunches for myself and I've been doing CookUnity for almost a year. High recommend, it's tasty, lots of healthy options, and saves me from eating just a granola bar for lunch.”
