I’m starting a book club with a friend. What are some best practices of book clubs you have been a part of? I want the priya Parker/Art of gathering kind of ideas - rules or ideas that feel specific and special! From how books are selected to how the time together is spent. Thanks!!

The holidays can be nutty, and so my book club opts out of reading a book in December. Instead, we each bring a wrapped book (your favorite from the past year) and have a white elephant book exchange - with stealing! It’s fun to see each other in a chill way, and bring home a good book.

Genius! We’re actually debating starting after December because life feels so full but come January we’re ready to add back in. This could be such a fun way to gather without the pressure of having read during the holidays. Thanks for sharing!
