Okay so I have this theory I’ve been building for years about how in the early 2010s, every pop hit was about dying in the club. I don’t know if it was a 2012 apocalypse thing or a post-recession thing or another social force I haven’t considered. But I’m wondering if you guys can think of examples? The period I’m looking at is kinda 2008-2012. My top dying in the club song is Dynamite by Taio Cruz

Okay what the hell another in that 08-12. It’s gotta be recession core. Is it a good sign for the current economy that we don’t have any current examples?
